Queensland
Eligibility Criteria
- Net business and personal assets of at least $1.5M AUD
- Must be available for transfer within 2 years of visa grant
- Minimum of $1M AUD for investment into a business & $500K for settlement costs
- Commit to residing and investing in Queensland
- Preference given to applicants who select ‘Queensland’ as their nominating choice over applicants who select ‘any’

Queensland - 132B
Eligibility Criteria
- Net assets of at least $200,000AUD to be transferred to Queensland

New South Wales
Eligibility Criteria
- Full curriculum vitae and information that supports that you have an overall successful business career
- Provide a business plan that demonstrates your realistic commitment to establish or participate in a business in NSW that will be of significant benefit to the NSW economy
- If the proposed business will be in Sydney:
- Transfer at least A$3 million in funds to NSW for business and settling and living expenses (inclusive of A$1.5 million business investment)
- Business plan must demonstrate that:
- You will make the $1.5M investment in proposed business; and
- business investment must be in property, plant & equipment, inventory, or purchased goodwill
- Business will create at least 5 full time jobs in NSW
- Must be Aus citizen, PR or NZ citizen
- Cannot be member of family unit
- You will make the $1.5M investment in proposed business; and
- If the proposed business will be in regional NSW:
- Transfer at least A$2 million in funds to NSW for business and settling and living expenses (inclusive of A$1 million business investment)
- Business plan must demonstrate that:
- You will make the $1M investment in proposed business; and
- business investment must be in property, plant & equipment, inventory, or purchased goodwill
- Business will create at least 3 full time jobs in NSW
- Must be Aus citizen, PR or NZ citizen

Eligibility Criteria
- Sufficient net personal and business assets to settle and live in Australia
- Genuine and realistic commitment to:
- either establish an eligible business in NSW or participate in an existing eligible business in NSW; and
- maintain a substantial ownership interest in that eligible business; and
- maintain a direct and continuous involvement in that business

Eligibility Criteria
- Under 55 years of age
- Sufficient funds to settle in Victoria
- Genuine commitment to establish a residence and reside in Victoria
- High degree of commercial success
- How entrepreneurial skills will be used to develop and grow a Victorian based business
- Business activity will provide exceptional economic benefit
- Factors include:
- introduction of new/improved technology
- job creation/retention
- expanding exports of value-added goods and services
- introduction of new skills
- increasing competitiveness
- import replacement
- the particular industry sector involved
- the geographic location of the business.
- Factors include:
- Business activity is not:
- passive investment
- general importing
- exporting of commodities and scrap metal
- small scale freight forwarding and warehousing
- smaller project-based property development.
- If business activity property development:
- have relevant qualifications and experience (e.g. architecture, engineering, construction management). Extensive relevant experience may substitute a qualification – this will be considered on a case by case basis
- the property development activity aligns with one of Victoria’s priority sector strategies

- Provide a business proposal that demonstrates that:
- you have reviewed and evaluated your proposed business activity thoroughly
- the proposed business activity is high quality, from a high-calibre person
- Proposal should also include:
- relevant market research
- market entry strategy
- competitor analysis
- strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) analysis
- projected cost analysis
- location research
- evidence of a joint-venture partnership (if relevant)
- evidence of any communication with potential suppliers
- distribution channel information
- marketing plan
- feasibility study
- the role of the applicant in the business
- Have visited Victoria and undertaken detailed market research
- Have consulted with relevant government agencies where appropriate
- Agree to nomination obligations
- Meet DHA criteria
- Will contact Victorian government within one month of arrival in Victoria

- Engage in eligible business activity within 23 months of visa grant

Eligibility Criteria
- Sufficient funds to settle in Victoria
- Genuine commitment to establish a residence and reside in Victoria
- Hold rights to an idea, product or technology that requires additional funding in order to advance its commercial potential
- Business must:
- be high risk/have high growth potential
- be engaged with a unique, innovative, product or service
- have the potential to make a substantial benefit to the Victorian economy
- Business activity involves early phase start-up or commercialisation of an eligible business
- Investment in property development, land ownership, finance or construction as the predominant activity not considered
- Funds from VC not connected to applicant
- Other business activity requirements:
- have a background in the area where the venture capital funding is sought. This may be evidenced through tertiary qualification, business ownership, and/or patents for invention
- must be the person who has entered into the legally enforceable agreement with the venture capital company to receive venture capital funding
- must have a realistic commitment to maintain a substantial ownership interest in the business and maintain direct and continuous involvement in that business.
- Outline benefit that business proposal will provide to Victorian economy and entrepreneurial skill that applicant will bring to Victoria

- Genuine intention to live in Tasmania
- Must have visited Tasmania
- High calibre business owner or part-owner, with a history of successful business management activity
- Have skills and background that will make an ongoing positive contribution to the state
- Either:
- Enter into an agreement with an actively operating Tasmanian business to invest at least $2 million into an Tasmanian business or investment opportunity; or
- Propose an investment of at least $2 million into a new or existing business that will have significant economic benefits for Tasmania
- Proposed activity has a genuine benefit to Tasmania
- May include investment in:
- Food and beverage production
- Tourism
- Aquaculture and Agriculture
- Minerals and mining industry
- Forestry and timber
- Antarctic and marine science
- Information and communications technology
- Arts and Creative industries
- Other factors:
- Flow on benefits to other areas of the economy
- Introduction of new skills, technology, innovations
- Creation of jobs
- Trade expansion
- Innovation
- Investment outside Greater Hobart
- May include investment in:
- Demonstrate how the applicant will undertake senior level day-to-day and strategic management of the business
- Sufficient funds to settle in Tasmania
- Property development requirements:
- A minimum AUD 2 million investment leading to creation of at least 4 properties for general sale or tourism, low income or student accommodation.
- Property development must add to stock of housing available for purchase to general public, or to low income / student accommodation
- Sale of developed property must be at arms-length (not to a known or related individual/business)

- Request meeting with Tasmanian government

Tasmania - 132B
Eligibility Criteria

- Hold the rights to an innovative idea, product or technology that requires additional funding in order to advance its commercial potential
- Realistic commitment to maintain a substantial ownership interest in the business and maintain direct and continuous involvement in that business
- Demonstrate benefit to the Tasmanian economy and the entrepreneurial skill that the applicant will bring to Tasmania
- Sufficient funds to settle in Tasmania

- Submit business proposal to invest at least $1.5M in establishing a new business or developing an existing business in Tasmania
- Request meeting with Tasmanian government
- Must be made at least two weeks prior to proposed meeting date

Australian Capital Territory
Eligibility Criteria
- Meet DHA requirements
- Enter into a legally binding agreement with an actively operating ACT registered business to:
- Invest at least $2 million into an ACT business or investment opportunity; and
- The business proposal must be of economic benefit to the ACT
- Create three jobs in Canberra for Australian citizens and/or permanent residents.
- Invest at least $2 million into an ACT business or investment opportunity; and
- Commitment to settle in Canberra
- Sufficient funds to settle in Canberra
- Agree to obligations:
- Net business and personal assets available for transfer to Australia within 1 year of visa grant
- Advise of expected arrival date in Australia
- Settle in ACT within 6 months of visa grant

- Have at least 30% ownership of a business (10% for publicly listed) which had at least $3M turnover for 2 of the last 4 fiscal years
- Net business assets of at least $400K for 2 of the last 4 years
- Activity will:
- commit a significant amount of new capital investment
- generate skilled employment or a large number of new jobs
- develop export markets or replace imports
- introduce new skills, expertise, technologies or innovations
- locate the business activity in a regional area
- have a significant flow-on effect to other sectors of the economy
- Maintain substantial ownership interest
- After 24 months of visa grant will meet nomination agreement regarding:
- Business investment
- Employment creation
- Owning a residence
- Living in WA
- For non-property development businesses:
- At least $1M net assets in business in WA
- Creation of at least 2 full time jobs in WA
- Own a residence and live in WA
- For property development businesses:
